Talking with children during tough times

Welcome!

Clear communication with children, especially during tough times, helps them make sense of what is happening around them. Being open with children in age-appropriate ways lets them know it’s OK to talk about hard things and that they can always come to you with questions.

This pathway offers tips for listening to your child, talking with them and supporting them to make meaning of their experiences.
